So many systems are all tied into each other, the transfer case won't shift if it doesn't talk to the engine (which is talking to the transmission) and the ABS systems.This will work. I've done many old 3208 swaps into 1 ton Chevrolet pick ups with beefed up suspension. They make great hunting buggies for back home in Alaska. The older the 4WD chassis the better. The reason we used Chevys is because they were cheap, parts were plentiful & they are easy to modify. Other then that any old pick up will work....
