The old ones did fully expand on them own but much slower than the new KYB.

Need to replace rear shocks. Car has Magnetic Ride and one of the rear shocks is leaking. Dealer quoted me $1581 total to replace both rears. With the price of the shocks from them almost $1200 and labor $286 (plus tax and shop supplies), can't take that long to do them ($300 labor doesn't buy a lot of hours).
